Working for you in the summer
In order to keep on offering quality services to their customers, CFL carry on with maintenance, modernisation and extension works on the Luxembourgish railway network. These railway infrastructure works require the closure of certain railway segments in order to permit that these can be performed safely and swiftly.
Closure of the segment Luxembourg – Bettembourg
– from Saturday 14 July to Friday 24 August 2018
Planned works :
– construction of the new line between Luxembourg and Bettembourg
– relocation of the existing track in order to create the necessary space for the construction of the new railway track
Closure of the segment Esch/Alzette – Pétange
– from Saturday, 25 August to Sunday 16 September 2018
Planned works :
– renovation of the level crossing PN15 in Differdange
– renew of the super- and substructure, the drainage system and the paths between Differdange und Oberkorn
– from Saturday 14 July to Friday 24 August 2018
Planned works :
– construction of the new line between Luxembourg and Bettemburg
– relocation of the existing track in order to create the necessary space for the construction of the new railway track
Closure of the segment Luxemburg – Diekirch
– from Saturday 25 August to Sunday 16 September 2018
Planned works :
– renewal of switches in the stations of Ettelbruck, Mersch and Dommeldange
– modernisation and maintenance works inside Lorentzweiler station
– renovation works on a bridge between Ettelbruck and Diekirch
Line 50 (Luxembourg – Kleinbettingen – Arlon)
Closure of the line
– from Saturday 14 July to Sunday 16 September 2018
Planned works :
– replacement of 3.000 Volts electrical facilities by 25.000 Volts electrical equipment
– works on switches and tracks in the context of the modernisation of Kleinbettingen station
