On 10 December 2017, an important day for all European railway companies, the new timetables will come into force. Like the years before, the new timetables for the CFL will be effective on the second Sunday of the month of December. We have summarized the big changes for you in this picture gallery.
The commissioning of two new stops

- With the new timetable change not only departure and arrival times change …

- … but two new stops will also be put into operation on 10.12.2017:

- … the new Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg stop which provides easy access to the Plateau Kirchberg

- … as well as the new station Howald in the immediate vicinity of the Ban de Gasperich and the Cloche d’Or
New cross connections
In order to assure that as many customers as possible benefit from the new stops, new cross-connections will be put into operation with the timetable change.

- Travelers from the North can, for example, get to the station Howald or to the university campus in Belval-Université without changing trains.

- These sites can also easily be reached from the East of the country (1x / hour), also without changing trains

- Travelers from the South in return benefit from a direct train to the new stop Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg (1x / hour).

- In the rush hours, travelers from Rodange, Petange or Dippach also benefit from a direct connection to the new stop (2x/hour).

- With the new funicular, you’ll reach the Plateau de Kirchberg in no time.
